Project K5 Caged!

We have a customer that wanted a awesome roll cage for a K5 Blazer that he is restoring.  Screamin Lizard Customs was the shop that got a chance to go towork on it.  Adam and Gerry looked at it like an oppurtunity to do some new age fabwork to a classic 1970 K5 Blazer.

HID Headlights for your Jeep JK

Adding HID Lights to Your JK:

Now your JK can have HIDs from Screamin Lizard Customs.  I never appreciated HIDs until I really had a chance to use them.  It's like the difference between a porch light and a night game in a professional stadium.

Oncomming, the difference is not substantial:

Next - a light cast on a bay door from a stock set of JK lights.  It's full on daylight outside the covered service area here.

Next - the HID's - taken at the same time in the same conditions.  More illuminated area and more visible detail in the areas lit.

Finally - 2 side by side comparisons.

We can get a conversion going for you - just give us a call at 800-591-8788.

A Hemi? In My JK?

Screamin Lizard Customs JK Hemi Conversion:

Yes, it can most definately be done.  The JK Hemi can start from a 5.7L Hemi Jk, 6.1L Hemi JK all the way up as far as you want to go. The slideshow below steps through the basic process of a Hemi conversion. The videos gives some idea of just what a Hemi - converted JK can be like. Of course, the real test is to sit behind the driver's seat. Give us a call and we'll get you started.

Stubshaft - the Shop's Bearded Dragon

This is our bearded dragon, Stubshaft.  He's got an injury to his front left leg from an enounter with another territorial bearded dragon sometime in his past.  He is, however perfectly happy here at SLC.  He's friendly and gets plenty of attention daily.

As you can see he's perfectly content to be held all day, as long as he gets fed.  We've got a larger enclosure under construction for him - we'll post it up when it's done.

Screamin Lizard Customs

Sreamin Lizard Customs
was an idea literally born out of necessity. Unlike many after market custom shops,  Screamin Lizard Customs is actually a subsidiary of Grubbs Nissan and Grubbs Chrysler Jeep located in Bedford, Texas. The dealership was established in 1948 and has long been an enthusiast for street performance and off-road activities.  However, as more and more and more of our own customers requested that the dealership provide them with even further "out there" custom products with the training and certifications required, we found ourselves in a unique position to literally control the entire process, from design,  to manpower, all in one facility.  And that’s when decided to devote an entire division to nothing but customization, hence, Screamin Lizard Customs.

We talk to our customers at length so we have a full understanding on exactly what you want. And because we do all of the work ourselves and sub nothing out, the transition from “idea” to the final product is seamless.  We’re pretty fanatical about the Live Out Loud lifestyle ourselves and we routinely participate in the many of the off road Jeep Jamborees with our friends and customers.  We hope to invite you to join us on a off-road course or racing event, if you’ve got game
